James D. Gray, B.A., Dipl. T., C.P.A., C.A., C.P.A. (Illinois)

Born and raised in Port Moody, Jim graduated from Simon Fraser University and the BC Institute of Technology and articled with Burnaby’s HLB Cinnamon, Jang, Willoughby & Co. prior to qualifying as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 1997. After joining DeVisser & Company the same year, Jim became an Associate in 2000 and a full partner in 2001. In 2012, Jim became the managing partner of the firm. Jim is the firm's representative on the CPABC's Public Company Technical Forum, which liaises with and advises senior staff of the BC Securities Commission. Jim also completed the two-year In-Depth Tax Course offered by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada in 2002.

In a volunteer capacity, Jim has served as Treasurer of Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia since 2004 and was previously founding director and Secretary-Treasurer of Geoscience BC, an applied research NPO formed in 2005.



Brad J. Waddell, B.B.A., C.P.A., C.A.

Brad joined De Visser Gray LLP as a partner in 2006. Since joining, he has operated as a general practitioner and in that capacity has served a wide array of business owners, both private and public.

His experience includes:
- dealing with assurance engagements for publicly listed entities (primarily in the junior resource sector),
- providing both compilation and review engagements for small and mid-sized Canadian controlled corporations and their shareholders,
- tax planning and preparation of corporate income tax returns for both public and private enterprises,
and
- preparation of personal income tax returns.

As a bit of background, Brad was born and raised primarily in South Africa before immigrating to the UK in 1984 to complete his schooling. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1989, he attended Simon Fraser University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1993. Before joining De Visser Gray LLP he articled with KPMG and also worked for a number of years at D&H Group LLP, a medium sized accounting firm in Vancouver.

Brad is an avid golfer and is also a member at Marine Drive Golf Course.



G. Cameron Dong, C.P.A., C.A.

Cameron was born and raised in Vancouver and graduated with honours from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1998. After articling with D&H Group LLP in Vancouver, Cameron qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2001 and continued to work for that firm until joining De Visser Gray LLP as a Partner in August 2009. Cameron has a large range of experience which includes the conducting of assurance engagements of publicly listed entities, private companies and Not-For Profit Organizations as well as providing consulting and tax planning for Canadian-controlled private corporations and their shareholders.

When not working, Cameron enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids including "coaching" their hockey, soccer and baseball teams (or whatever over scheduled activities they are involved in!).



Keith C. Macdonald, B.Sc. (Agr.), Lic. Acct., C.P.A., C.A.

Keith was born in New Westminster and raised in Richmond and Oliver. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science, Agriculture (1982) and a Licentiate in Accounting (1985). Keith articled with HLB Cinnamon Jang Willoughby and Company, Chartered Professional Accountants and Consultants and qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 1992. He joined the Vancouver office of national firm BDO Canada in 1998 where he was promoted to Senior Manager, Assurance Services. In 2007, Keith left BDO to practice as a sole practitioner. For the past few years, and on a full-time basis during 2011, he served as a consultant to De Visser Gray LLP. Keith joined De Visser Gray LLP as a partner in 2012.

Keith’s experience includes participating in all aspects of audit, review and compilation engagements for small, mid-sized and large owner-managed businesses and audits of not-for-profit organizations, unions and pension and benefit plans.

In a volunteer capacity, Keith served as the Treasurer (13 years) and President (1 year) of his self-managed, 28-unit town-house complex.
